Firearms Training for Veterans: Rehabilitation Through Skill Renewal

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Firearms training sessions were conducted by the Department of Firearms Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

DSUIA systematically conducts rehabilitation activities for military veterans: weekly, the higher education institution hosts table tennis training, martial arts sessions, and firearms training classes.

This time, veterans came to the university’s shooting range to study the material part of the FORT-12R pistol and practice accurate shooting at targets. They performed Exercise No. 11 of the pistol shooting course, during which the participants had to make three shots at a stationary target without time constraints.

Together with the instructor, the participants analyzed the execution of the shooting exercises, noting the places where the bullets hit the targets.

The instructor from the Department of Firearms Training, Yevhen ZELENSKY, who led the training, noted the high motivation and perseverance of the participants.

The firearms training was conducted as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Education, Science, and Sports project “Friendly Support.” #friendly_support
