Cycle of Police Sniper Training Sessions for DSUIA Cadets Continues

NEWS

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the cadets had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with both the theoretical and practical components of the «Police Sniping» discipline.

DSUIA cadets demonstrated a high level of physical, psychological, and tactical readiness, as well as a strong level of interest.

Among the skills the cadets had to master during the training were working from stable positions and quickly changing positions. The main positions practiced included:

• Lying down – with support or bipod.

• Sitting – knee under the arm.

• Standing behind a tree – bracing the left forearm or sitting on a knee.

• Shooting from the palm – with thumb support.

Cadets were given the chance to try their skills with two types of weapons. They worked with the ArmaLite AR-15 rifle – a semi-automatic rifle – and the VPR-308 sniper system (a Ukrainian sniper rifle based on the design of the «Zbroyar» Z-008 sports rifle). They practiced accurate shooting techniques such as achieving maximum stable positions, proper aiming, breath control, smooth trigger pull, and body control.

The instructors from the public organization «TUR» (which facilitated the cadets’ training) are professional military personnel – ambassadors of the Titans UA project, who actively participate and conduct sessions and training.

The experience gained will become an integral part of the overall tactical training of DSUIA cadets, which has been significantly enhanced under martial law conditions.
