PhD Dissertation Defenses Held at DSUIA

PhD dissertation defenses took place in separate ad-hoc specialized academic councils at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).

Diana HARASHCHUK prepared her dissertation on «Criminalistic Characteristics and Features of Investigating Illegal Fishing.» Her academic advisor was Ihor PYRIH, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training at DSUIA. The academic council was chaired by Viktor PLETENETS, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training at DSUIA.

Viktor KAPITONOV prepared his dissertation on «Criminal Liability for Illegal Interference in the Operation of the Court’s Automated Document Management System.» His academic advisor was Volodymyr SHABLYSTYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education at DSUIA. The academic council was chaired by Oleksandr YUNIN, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, and Vice-Rector of DSUIA.

Iryna TSYB prepared her dissertation on «The Concept of Desecration under the Criminal Law of Ukraine.» Her academic advisor was Vitalii POKAYCHUK, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Fire Training at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at DSUIA. The academic council was chaired by Volodymyr SHABLYSTYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education at DSUIA.

Based on the work of the specialized academic councils at DSUIA, the following decisions were made:

• Awarding Diana HARASHCHUK a PhD degree in the field of Law (08 «Law») based on her public defense of the dissertation «Criminalistic Characteristics and Features of Investigating Illegal Fishing» (specialty 081 «Law»);

• Awarding Viktor KAPITONOV a PhD degree in the field of Law (08 «Law») based on his public defense of the dissertation «Criminal Liability for Illegal Interference in the Operation of the Court’s Automated Document Management System» (specialty 081 «Law»);

• Awarding Iryna TSYB a PhD degree in the field of Law (08 «Law») based on her public defense of the dissertation «The Concept of Desecration under the Criminal Law of Ukraine» (specialty 081 «Law»).
