Events Held at DSUIA for Ukraine’s Independence Day

The ceremonial lineup for Ukraine’s Independence Day took place at the parade ground of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV participated in the events.

The celebration of the 33rd anniversary of Independence began with the performance of the State Anthem of Ukraine. The memory of all heroes who fell for freedom was honored with a moment of silence, followed by laying flowers at the memorial to the defenders of Ukraine.

Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV addressed all present. The head of the higher education institution congratulated everyone on Ukraine’s Independence Day and noted that the fight for our state’s sovereignty is ongoing, and during this time, the cadets will duly represent the Security and Defense sector after completing their studies. Oleksandr MORGUNOV wished for peace and victory, emphasizing that independence is, first and foremost, a responsibility to oneself and to society.

The rector also presented insignia to police officers who were awarded new special ranks:

• Police Captain Oleksandr GALEMINU was promoted to Police Major;

• Police Captain Vadym FURSA was promoted to Police Major;

• Police Private Nazariy RABUSHKO was promoted to Police Corporal.

A number of cadets will be honored by being added to the Honor Roll of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The participants of the creative movement studio eSTeD performed a song to congratulate the staff of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DDUVS). After the event, all cadets and lyceum students marched in a ceremonial parade.
