Today, on September 2nd, ceremonies marking the Day of Knowledge were held at four security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, officially opened the lyceum in Dnipro.
«Our goal is for every student to receive the highest quality and most comprehensive education. For everyone who has entered our lyceums, this is the first serious and independent step into adult life. I would like to wish that you find true friends here. I hope that your instructors work with you in such a way that you become not only the elite of our department but also of the entire country,» Ihor Klymenko said, addressing students from across the country.
Also present at the event was the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, who expressed gratitude to all the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for opening the security lyceums.
«You are the true sons and daughters of the Ukrainian people. I am confident that in this educational institution, you will receive a quality education and choose your future path. Some of you will become military personnel, some law enforcement officers, some rescuers. I am confident that you are true patriots of Ukraine,» emphasized Serhiy Lysak.
Meanwhile, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Inna Yashchuk, visited the security-oriented lyceum in Kyiv, Deputy Minister Oleksiy Serhiyov went to Ivano-Frankivsk, and the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Andriy Danyk, attended the lyceum in Vinnytsia.
Thus, today, 465 children from different parts of Ukraine received their first shoulder boards and lyceum badges.
After the event, Ihor Klymenko inspected the lyceum’s classrooms, equipped with modern technology, and also visited the rooms where the students live.
It is worth noting that before the official initiation, the students completed a special introductory course, which included getting to know the instructors, dividing into platoons, and familiarizing themselves with the schedule and statute.
«I am proud of all the work carried out by the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and everyone involved in the construction and equipping of the lyceum’s material and technical base,» said Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
As a reminder, in February 2024, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced the opening of security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasizing that the goal of establishing these institutions is to provide quality education for children whose parents have died, gone missing, been wounded at the front, or are directly involved in combat actions.
