DSUIA Continues Martial Arts Training for Military Personnel

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Training sessions are conducted under the guidance of experienced instructors from the Department of Special Physical Training at DSUIA.

Boxing is only one of the areas of training. According to the coaches, sports are an important and effective factor in the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. Physical exercises offer great opportunities for correcting and improving the motor skills of individuals with disabilities. Dmytro PETRUSHYN, a boxing coach and lecturer at the Department of Special Physical Training, who regularly works with veterans at DSUIA, emphasizes that the variety and flexibility of exercises make it possible to select the most appropriate ones for each specific case. Today, the participants were offered circuit training: exercises with a coordination ladder, medicine balls, dumbbells, etc.

Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs invites everyone to martial arts training sessions every Thursday at 3:00 PM. The training is held as part of the “Friendly Support” project by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Education, Science, and Sports.
