We congratulate our university representative on reaching the finals at the Paris 2024 Games!
Over 11 competition days in the French capital, Ukrainian Paralympians secured 82 medals: 22 gold, 28 silver, and 32 bronze. A significant contribution to the overall result, as well as to the history of athletics and her personal journey, was made by Oksana BOTURCHUK, a native of Dnipropetrovsk region and a lecturer at the Department of Special Physical Training at DSUIA.
The year 2024 became a challenging milestone for Oksana BOTURCHUK, marking a successful return to her sporting career. The Olympic champion once again demonstrated her skill and motivation by winning both bronze and silver at this year’s Paralympics in Paris.
In the 400-meter race, she claimed third place and earned the bronze medal, while in the 100-meter dash, she secured the silver.
Running specialists and coaches emphasize that running requires strength, speed, tactical thinking, reaction, and, most importantly, endurance. After all, athletic running is primarily about results, and to achieve them, athletes often have to push beyond the limits of what seems possible.
Oksana BOTURCHUK managed to recover, return to her sports career after her third maternity leave, set personal records, and bring home two medals for Ukraine.
We are proud of the sporting achievements of DSUIA’s representative and eagerly await more victories to come! We are confident that Oksana BOTURCHUK is a true role model for the students of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and will continue to inspire them with her example!
