Corruption Risks in Academic Activities at Educational Institutions with Special Learning Conditions: A Meeting at DSUIA

The event was organized and conducted by the Anti-Corruption Officer of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Ruslan Lupyr.

During the meeting with adjunct professors and postgraduate students, corruption risks in academic activities at educational institutions with special learning conditions were identified. These included the offering of improper benefits during the defense of dissertation research, possible manifestations of dishonesty, and abuses by postgraduate students and scholars during the educational process.

Ruslan Lupyr also focused attention on the legal consequences of corruption, which fall under the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, and other regulatory documents.

While discussing ways to minimize corruption risks in academic activities at educational institutions with special learning conditions, the Anti-Corruption Officer highlighted the changes to the Procedure for Awarding a Doctor of Philosophy Degree, which were adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in January 2022.

Additionally, in the context of possible manifestations of dishonesty and abuses by postgraduate students and adjunct professors, participants were provided with copies of the Code of Ethical and Honest Behavior for Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
