A meeting with representatives of the Eastern Office of the State Audit Service of Ukraine was organized for the students of the Faculty of Training for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.
The elective session was arranged by the faculty of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training of DSUIA to enhance the cadets’ knowledge and reinforce their professional skills. Valeriy DOVHYI, Head of the Eastern Office of the State Audit Service of Ukraine, and Dmytro VOROBIOV, Head of the Eastern Office’s Donetsk Division, along with their colleagues, provided valuable advice to the future investigators on matters of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and state financial control bodies.
The session addressed key discussion points such as the initiation of audits (inspections) by investigators, and the specifics of conducting procurement monitoring, financial audits, and procurement checks. Special attention was given to criminal procedural law and the potential amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine concerning the authority of investigators to initiate unscheduled inspections (audits).
