Dissertation Defenses at DSUIA

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) recently hosted meetings of the specialized academic council D.08.727.02, where several dissertation defenses were held.

The sessions were chaired by Doctor of Law, Professor, and Rector of DSUIA, Oleksandr MORHUNOV.

Oleksii KAMYSHANSKYI presented his dissertation to earn the Doctor of Law degree, with a focus on the topic “Administrative and Legal Support for Service in the National Police of Ukraine.”

Opponents:

Ruslan SERBYN, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Luhansk Region, Police Colonel;

Oleksii DROZD, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Organizational Support of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine;

Maksym KALATUR, Doctor of Law, Professor, Leading Researcher at the Research Institute of Public Law.

 

Oleksandr MYRHORODSKYI defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law, focusing on the topic “Prevention of Fraud Committed by Illegal Operations Using Computer Technology.”

Scientific Supervisor:

Volodymyr SHABLYSTYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education at DSUIA.

Official Opponents:

Viktor KONOPELSKYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs;

Vasyl FEDYTNIK, Candidate of Law, Senior Partner, Head of the Criminal Law Protection Department at “Legal Strategy” Law Firm.

 

Eduard MALIUTIN defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic “Fundamentals of the Methodology for Investigating Criminal Offenses Related to E-Banking.”

Scientific Supervisor: Kostiantyn CHAPLINSKYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training at DSUIA.

Oleh TARASENKO, Doctor of Law, Professor, Professor of the Department of Operative-Search Activities at the National Academy of Internal Affairs;

Roman YAROSHENKO presented his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic “Investigation of Embezzlement, Misappropriation of Property, or Misuse of Official Position Committed by an Organized Group.”

Scientific Supervisor: Kostiantyn CHAPLINSKYI, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training at DSUIA.

Official Opponents:

Valentyna DROZD, Doctor of Law, Professor, Chief Specialist of the Advisory and Control Department at the Office of the Head of the National Police of Ukraine;
Andrii ANTOCHUK, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Medicine at the National Academy of Internal Affairs.

 

Based on the work of the specialized academic council of DSUIA, the following decisions were made:

• To award Oleksii KAMYSHANSKYI the degree of Doctor of Law, specializing in 12.00.07 “Administrative Law and Procedure; Financial Law; Information Law” for his public defense of the dissertation “Administrative and Legal Support for Service in the National Police of Ukraine”;

• To award Oleksandr MYRHORODSKYI the degree of Candidate of Law, specializing in 12.00.08 “Criminal Law, Criminology, and Penal Law” for his public defense of the dissertation “Prevention of Fraud Committed by Illegal Operations Using Computer Technology”;

• To award Eduard MALIUTIN the degree of Candidate of Law, specializing in 12.00.09 “Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics; Forensic Science; Operative-Search Activities” for his public defense of the dissertation “Fundamentals of the Methodology for Investigating Criminal Offenses Related to E-Banking”;

• To award Roman YAROSHENKO the degree of Candidate of Law, specializing in 12.00.09 “Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics; Forensic Science; Operative-Search Activities” for his public defense of the dissertation “Investigation of Embezzlement, Misappropriation of Property, or Misuse of Official Position Committed by an Organized Group.”
