The event was attended by cadets from Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) and students from the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event was opened by Iryna HRYTSAY, Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration. She emphasized the importance of always remembering the tragedy of Babi Yar to preserve peace and humanity and to prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future.
The lecture was delivered by Ihor SHCHUPAK, Director of the Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies “Tkuma.” The historian discussed the origins of the Holocaust, its course, and the significant historical moments that accompanied this tragedy.
DSUIA cadets and students of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lyceum listened intently to the lecture and the experts who shared about these tragic but essential chapters of Ukrainian and human history.
