Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education MIA learned about the specifics of the service performed by police dog handlers.
During the introductory visit, the lyceum students interacted with specialists from the unit and learned about the use of service dogs in police work. The police officers explained the legal framework for utilizing dogs in service activities, such as searching for missing persons, detecting narcotics, weapons, explosives, and apprehending offenders.
The students also became acquainted with the basics of dog training, care, and feeding. The service dogs demonstrated their skills to the lyceum students.
The students received information about the profession of a police dog handler, the training program for this specialization, the specifics of breeding service dogs, and ways to establish a connection with the animals.
