The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Criminal Analysis of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Colonel Roman BUTKO, and the Head of the Criminal Analysis Division of the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Vadym SERHIYENKO. The Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Oleksandr MORHUNOV, also participated in the event.
The meeting was organized for cadets of the 3rd Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine. Throughout the year, students have practical classes at the Criminal Analysis Division of the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, where they can gain insight into the unit’s work, analytical methods for identifying individuals, and more.
During the meeting at DSUIA, Roman BUTKO spoke about the history of the creation of the Department of Criminal Analysis of the National Police of Ukraine, its structure, and its main tasks.
Attention was focused on the department’s daily activities, including its involvement in the analytical support of criminal investigations, the identification of individuals, and the preparation of analytical products for the units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The methods of collecting and processing information, which assist in solving criminal offenses, were also discussed in detail.
As a result of the meeting, priority areas for the training of criminal analysts for the units of the National Police of Ukraine were identified.
