DSUIA Completed the Training Course “Tactical Combat Casualty Care”

NEWS

A series of practical sessions for the course “Tactical Combat Casualty Care,” organized by the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM), has concluded at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).

The training took place as part of the EUAM project “Stabilization, Transition, and Public Security at the Contact Line” and was aimed at law enforcement officers working on the front line or in areas under missile attacks. The sessions were led by tactical medicine trainers with combat experience.

Participants included law enforcement officers from Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. Acting heads of DSUIA departments, Stanislava MYRONIUK (Department of Tactical and Special Training) and Hanna BIDNYAK (Department of Forensics and Pre-Medical Training), also joined the training.

The course program covered the basics of providing tactical combat care to the wounded and using medical equipment in field conditions. Participants learned to assess tactical injuries, control bleeding, recognize shock states, and use painkillers and antibiotics.

Experts emphasize that such training is crucial for providing self-care and saving the wounded in combat zones or along the contact line.
