Cadets from the Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation at the National Police of Ukraine at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) participated in a voluntary session on pre-medical training.
The session was led by Professor Viktor PLETENETS from the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training, along with Acting Head of the Department Hanna BIDNYAK. Military unit medical station’s sanitary instructor Olena NYKYFOROVA also took part in the event.
The focus of the session was on providing pre-medical assistance to individuals in critical conditions, modern approaches to equipping individual first aid kits, and the correct usage of its components. Additionally, the training covered the use of hemostatic tourniquets and the rules for their application.
Special attention was given to recent updates in the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) protocol, incorporating experience gained from the ongoing armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
