A practical training session for the trainees specializing in Educational Security Services at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) focused on the prevention and counteraction of domestic violence.
The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Process at DSUIA, with the participation of Senior Inspector of the Domestic Violence Prevention Sector of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, Senior Lieutenant of Police Lesia ROMANENKO, along with mobile teams providing socio-psychological assistance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), whose work in the region is carried out by the public organization “MARTIN-Club.”
The session aimed to develop ways of cooperation between Educational Security Police officers and other units, as well as entities involved in the prevention and counteraction of domestic violence, particularly to protect children’s rights both in educational institutions and within the family.
Lesia ROMANENKO, together with specialists from the mobile teams, discussed early detection of domestic violence signs and its indicators. Participants shared practical experiences of interaction with the police, social services, and non-governmental organizations, and explored potential ways of further cooperation.
