“Child-Friendly Crisis Room”: Practical Use in Professional Activities

NEWS

A specialized facility, the “Child-Friendly Crisis Room,” has been established at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). It is utilized both in the educational process and for practical purposes.

When necessary, procedural and investigative actions are conducted in this so-called “green room.” The facility is actively used by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region for interviewing minors who have become victims of various forms of violence. The room is fully equipped with essential tools, video and audio equipment to ensure high-quality investigative actions and forensic examinations.

Currently, the facility is widely used upon request by the investigative department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region during interrogations of minors who have suffered from various forms of violence within criminal proceedings. Additionally, DSUIA psychologists, who are qualified in this field, are actively involved in the interviews and interrogations of children, especially those who have suffered from sexual violence.

The organization of the work is based on an individual approach to each child, taking into account their age and level of development.
