The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) hosted regional anti-corruption training sessions, held in a hybrid format with the support of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The training was attended by employees of the main service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as institutions, organizations, and enterprises under the Ministry’s management in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. The event was opened by DSUIA’s First Vice-Rector Ihor Magdalina, with welcoming remarks from Serhiy Yaremenko, Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Department and Head of the Risk Management and Methodological Support Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Speakers included Marina Kogut, Coordinator of the NATO Integrity Building Programme, Oleksandr Yevstratenko from the Dnipropetrovsk Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine, Dmytro Chernov from the Strategic Investigations Department in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as researchers and DSUIA’s Anti-Corruption Officer, Ruslan Lupyr.
Participants were introduced to the key principles of NATO’s Integrity Building Programme in the security and defense sector, along with practical aspects of implementing state policy on anti-corruption measures. The training also covered the criminal and administrative liability for violations of anti-corruption legislation.
