Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs has launched a new social project to help military veterans learn culinary skills. The university’s rector, Oleksandr Morhunov, joined the first session.
Socialization and rehabilitation of veterans are key areas of DSUIA’s work. For over six months, the university has been organizing sports training sessions in table tennis, martial arts, boxing, and seated volleyball. This new initiative introduces veterans to the culinary arts, with the first lesson focused on preparing adaptive dishes from Ukrainian cuisine, including borscht, Chicken Kyiv, and banosh.
Under the guidance of experienced chefs, participants chopped ingredients, added spices, boiled, fried, and baked, crafting culinary masterpieces.
After cooking, the veterans gathered around a communal table, where they enjoyed the dishes they had prepared and engaged in lively conversation. DSUIA Rector Oleksandr Morhunov welcomed the veterans warmly, and as a memorable token, all participants received branded frying pans as gifts.
