Language Competitions Open for University and High School Students at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs

NEWS

Participants in the competitions included students from DSUIA and pupils from the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The university hosted the first stage of the XV International Language and Literature Competition for Student and Youth, named after Taras Shevchenko, and the first stage of the XXV International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk.

These competitions aim to elevate the prestige of the Ukrainian language among youth and foster respect for Ukrainian culture and traditions, which is why DSUIA actively participates in them each year. Contestants completed tasks in Ukrainian language skills: they wrote essays, identified literary styles, spelled out numerical expressions, and more. Winners of the first stage will be announced on November 1.

Students who win first place in the final (fourth) stage of the Petro Yatsyk competition will be awarded scholarships from the President of Ukraine. Finalists with the highest scores in the Taras Shevchenko competition will also be eligible for a Presidential scholarship.
