Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) held a meeting of the Academic Council chaired by Rector Oleksandr MORHUNOV.
The Rector congratulated Professor Anatoliy POPOVSKY, Doctor of Philology from the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Foreign Languages, on his 89th birthday, presenting him with an edition of Kobzar by Taras SHEVCHENKO.
The Minister of Internal Affairs awarded a commendation to Professor Borys LOGVYNENKO, Doctor of Law and Police Lieutenant Colonel from the Department of Administrative Law and Process, for outstanding professional achievements and contributions to specialist training.
Additionally, Police Captain Oleksandr KRYVOPUSK, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-medical Training, was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Law.
DSUIA employees also received recognition in the competition for the best scientific, technical, and career guidance products within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The awardees included:
First Place (Multimedia Publications): Instructional video guide Handling Road Traffic Incidents Without Victims, authored by YUNIN O.S., KAMYSHANSKYI O.YU., SOBAKAR A.O., SHEVYAKOV M.O., MOLCHANOV R.YU., VALEYEV R.H., and VASHCHILIN R.V.
Second Place (Restricted Access Publications): Organization of Detection of Criminal Offenses Related to the Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances, Their Analogues or Precursors, authored by OLEKSENKO V.H. and TIMONINA H.V.
The Council also reviewed the awarding of the academic title of professor to Doctor of Philosophy Olena MARCHENKO, approved dissertation topics for graduate students, and endorsed the proposal to name the Dnipro Security and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum after Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV, commander of the assault regiment “Tsunami.”
