Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) recently opened an exhibition project dedicated to the heroic defense of Mariupol.
The exhibit features 35 photo canvases depicting Mariupol before and after the occupation, along with screenshots of messages exchanged between the city’s defenders and their loved ones. The photographs show iconic locations in Mariupol as they appeared in times of peace and what they became during the occupation.
The exhibition tells the story of the city’s capture, the struggle of its defenders, and the lives of its civilians, honoring the courage of Ukrainian soldiers who continue to defend Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
On the opening day, the exhibit attracted DSUIA cadets, who described the photos as profoundly impactful. They recommend everyone visit the exhibit to grasp the sacrifices made by Mariupol’s defenders and residents.
