The Institute of Law and Innovative Education at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), in cooperation with the Department of Theory of State and Law, organized a legal battle event in honor of Student’s Day. The event aimed to draw attention to the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The legal battle took place in a debate format. The event opened with welcome speeches from Volodymyr Shablystyi, Director of the Institute of Law and Innovative Education, and Olha Kulinich, Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law. The debates were moderated by Senior Lecturers Yuliia Lebedieva and Daria Lavrenko from the Department of Theory of State and Law. Participants included second-year law students from groups UD-342 and UD-346.
Throughout the event, students engaged in lively debates, provided legal assessments, and defended their positions on practical cases, enhancing their knowledge in the field of international public law.
At the conclusion of the event, the most active participants were recognized. Particular attention was given during discussions to the unique role of international law as a legal system dedicated to maintaining peace and security worldwide.
