Cadets from the Faculty of Investigation Training for the National Police of Ukraine attended Detention Facility No. 1 of the National Police Main Department in the Dnipropetrovsk Region as part of their “Criminal Procedure” course.
The visit was organized by Professor Olena Soldatenko from the Department of Criminal Procedure. Police Major Vitaliy Vodolazskyi, head of the detention facility, briefed the cadets on the facility’s purpose and the specifics of its operation under martial law conditions.
During the event, cadets enhanced their knowledge of the grounds and procedural order for detaining individuals and toured the facility’s premises. Special attention was given to the video monitoring and electronic documentation system “Custody Records,” designed to uphold the rights of both detainees and police officers involved in investigative actions. The session also covered the role of human rights inspectors.
