MIA Lyceum, NEWS

Students from the Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, visited the forensic training grounds of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), where they were introduced to the fundamentals of forensic science.

During the tour, the lyceum students learned about methods for gathering information on suspects and victims, observed fingerprinting techniques, and saw how shoeprints are lifted. They were also introduced to various types of cold and firearms and learned about the specifics of forensic examination of currency and documents.

A significant portion of the visit focused on first aid skills. Instructors demonstrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and the proper recovery position for stabilizing an injured person.

The students also explored the model location, “Torture Chamber,” where DSUIA cadets practice crime scene documentation. They learned about identifying crime traces, the importance of physical evidence, and the necessity of first-aid skills for law enforcement professionals.
