Psychologists from Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs conducted a training session for cadets on the topic “Leadership Qualities: Development and Importance in Police Work.”
The training aimed to enhance the cadets’ ability to address pressing issues, protect the rights of vulnerable groups, and support war victims through the development of leadership skills. Participants learned about the formation of a leader’s personality, techniques for developing leadership qualities, standing up for one’s position, and respecting others. Methods for identifying their roles within a team were also discussed.
Cadets engaged in self-diagnosis exercises to assess their leadership skills, completed a leadership skills test, and took part in group discussions, debates, and small-group tasks. Specialists noted that the training provided cadets with opportunities to improve both personal and professional qualities, equipping them with skills essential for future careers, professional activities, and interactions with colleagues and the public.
