The Department of Special Physical Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs organized a seated volleyball training session for military veterans.
Experts emphasize that sports activities play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process for veterans. Exercises promote muscle activity, provide beneficial loads on limbs and joints, and improve cardiovascular function. For over six months, DSUIA has been conducting regular sports events for defenders, including tennis, martial arts, and other sports. Recently, seated volleyball—a variant of the sport adapted for people with limited mobility—was introduced to the rehabilitation program.
These sessions contribute not only to physical recovery but also to the moral and psychological well-being of veterans, offering opportunities for social interaction and participation in the reintegration process.
The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ “Friendly Support” initiative.
