To foster a positive atmosphere within groups and prevent bullying, psychologists from the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs organized a series of training sessions for second-year cadets.
A distinctive feature of these trainings was the inclusion of up-to-date techniques and exercises gained through the Transition Promotion Program with international partners. The sessions covered topics such as the causes of bullying, its signs, prevention methods, and its impact on the psychological well-being of all group members.
The practical part of the training involved psychological exercises aimed at stimulating interest in the topic, reducing conflict levels, and fostering a sense of cohesion among participants. Particular attention was paid to understanding the personal responsibility of each individual in preventing or stopping bullying within their groups.
According to psychologist Vladyslav BIDNYAK, the cadets actively participated in discussions about the causes of bullying in collectives and showed genuine interest in the topic. The practical exercises helped develop skills that will enable future police officers to identify signs of bullying in workplaces, as well as in secondary and higher education institutions, and to carry out effective preventive measures within their professional scope.
