As part of the international campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” a training session on combating and preventing domestic violence was held for students of the Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure at DSUIA.
The training took place on the educational grounds of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. It was conducted by Mykola REPAN, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, with the participation of Olesia BILKO, Head of the Department for Enhancing Professional Competencies of Social Services Workers at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Social Services, and patrol police officers undergoing long-term advanced training.
The event aimed to familiarize lyceum students with the concepts and types of domestic violence, provide knowledge on seeking help, and demonstrate police response algorithms in such situations.
During the session, participants not only gained theoretical knowledge but also explored the university’s training grounds, where they practiced situational scenarios under the guidance of specialists, simulating police actions in cases of domestic violence.
The training generated significant interest among the students, who actively asked questions and, at the end of the session, expressed gratitude to the organizers for the engaging and informative event that equipped them with valuable knowledge and skills.
