Specialized training sessions were held for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The sessions were organized by Hanna BIDNYAK, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training and Police Major, in collaboration with Valeriy VOYCHENKO, Head of the State Specialized Institution “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination.”
During the training, forensic medical experts highlighted the specifics of ordering forensic examinations of corpses and discussed common errors investigators make when initiating such examinations.
Additionally, cadets had the opportunity to observe the forensic examination process firsthand, which included the autopsy of a body with multiple shrapnel injuries. Experts emphasized the distinctive characteristics of bodily injuries caused by firearms and explosives and explained the importance of considering these details when documenting criminal offenses.
