The Dnipro Security and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been named after Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV to commemorate the memory of the fallen hero.
Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV was a police lieutenant colonel and the commander of the assault regiment “Tsunami” within the “Liut” brigade. He tragically lost his life in March 2024, rescuing people after a missile attack in Odesa. The officer was 41 years old.
A native of Dnipro, Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV joined the “Dnipro-1” battalion as a volunteer in 2014, taking part in the liberation of Mariupol and battles in the Donetsk region.
During the full-scale invasion, he became the commander of the battalion and later the “Tsunami” regiment, performing combat missions in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Donetsk regions. He was actively involved in liberating Davydiv Brid and Kherson.
