Cadets of the Dnipro MIA Lyceum Compete in Esports Tournament

MIA Lyceum

The final matches of the Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament were held at the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev. The event was initiated by the Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morgunov, and the Lyceum Director Kyrylo Nedria.

The tournament aimed to promote esports and strengthen the cadets’ teamwork skills. According to Kyrylo Nedria, competitive gaming requires not only precise coordination among participants but also excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, as well as the ability to make quick decisions and adapt to new challenges. One of the oldest and most popular esports disciplines, Counter-Strike 2, is centered on the battle between special forces and terrorists.

The esports competition involved all the lyceum’s platoons, each forming its own team. Before the finals, cadets competed in qualification matches, showcasing their gaming expertise.

The tournament culminated in a victory for the 4th Platoon team, crowned as the absolute champions. The organizers plan to expand the competition in the future to include other MIA security-oriented lyceums.
