The competition took place on November 29 at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi University, with participants being higher education students specializing in “081 Law.”
Out of 30 teams that submitted projects for the competition, three finalists emerged: Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, and the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
DSUIA was represented by 3rd- and 4th-year cadets from the Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation Training for the National Police of Ukraine. The team, named Femida Force, included Ihor Yermolaiev, Vladyslav Putsakov, Viktoriia Tutova, Vadym Bolgharenko, and Yelyzaveta Burmystrova, mentored by Natalia Pavlova, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training, and a police lieutenant colonel.
The investigative actions competition focuses on thorough mastery of criminalistics and criminal law. Participants needed not only analytical skills but also the ability to draft procedural documents, make organizational decisions, develop investigative hypotheses, and meticulously control the search area to prevent evidence loss.
The professional training of the teams was evaluated by a qualified jury, including senior officials from the State Bureau of Investigations, the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, the MIA Forensic Science Center, and the Prosecutor’s Office. The jury commended the cadets’ high level of preparation, creativity, and quick reactions to simulated scenarios.
