The two-day conference, titled “Internal Security in the 21st Century: Modern Challenges in Research and Law Enforcement Activities,” was held at the Latvian State Police College.
Third-year cadet Hanna Terekhova, a student of the Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation for the National Police of Ukraine and Deputy Head of the DSUIA Student Scientific Society, participated in the conference.
Her research focused on integrating IT and AI technologies into combating digital crime and investigating economic offenses. The article was developed under the scientific supervision of Professor Olena Soldatenko from the Department of Criminal Procedure.
In addition to presenting her research, Hanna showcased the university and its capabilities, highlighting the unique aspects of the educational process during the full-scale invasion, as well as student-led volunteer projects and initiatives. She collaborated with colleagues from Latvia and Germany to discuss pressing issues in civil law and criminal procedure and attended a tactical-special training demonstration at the college’s training center.
At the conclusion of the conference, Hanna received a participant certificate. Following the event, students from the Latvian State Police College hosted an excursion around Riga, including visits to the Riga Castle Museum and the St. Peter’s Church Tower.
According to Hanna Terekhova, participating in the conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences with young researchers and establish international connections for future professional endeavors and collaboration.
