Combating Domestic Violence: Practical Training at DSUIA

A training session on combating and preventing domestic violence was conducted for cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Activities Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Process at DSUIA. The moderators were the head of the department, Doctor of Law, Police Lieutenant Colonel Andrii SOBAKAR, and senior lecturer Mykola REPAN.

The training featured practical experts, including Senior Inspector of the Domestic Violence Prevention Sector at the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Senior Lieutenant Lesia ROMANENKO, and Inspector of the TOR Company of the Patrol Police Battalion in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, Police Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr DERKACH.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the forms and methods used by police officers to prevent, detect, and address cases of domestic violence. They also learned how to respond to such cases and provide support to victims. The practical segment of the training involved practicing response algorithms on a training ground, taking into account the conditions of martial law.

Additionally, cadets received informational leaflets with contact details of organizations and institutions offering assistance to victims of domestic violence.

This training was a significant step in preparing future law enforcement officers for effective service in protecting the rights and safety of citizens.
