Dnipro Lyceum Students Learn About the Work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine

MIA Lyceum

Students from the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev participated in a meeting with a representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

Colonel Ihor HETALO, a representative of the Operational Coordination Center of the Main Directorate of the SES in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, led the session.

During the introductory lecture, the students learned about the core responsibilities of the State Emergency Service, which include rapid response to fires, accidents, and natural disasters; preventing emergencies; conducting rescue operations and providing assistance to victims; and organizing preventive measures and training sessions for the population and supporting agencies to handle emergencies.

Particular attention was given to the SES’s critical role as the first responder in emergencies, providing aid to those in need. The lyceum students gained insights into the importance of modern equipment, structured response protocols, and the professionalism of SES personnel in addressing diverse threats to civilian safety.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for the students to deepen their understanding of the vital role rescuers play in ensuring public safety and protection.
