The training was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure in cooperation with the Department of Organization of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was attended by a representative of the public organization “La Strada – Ukraine,” an inspector of the Department of Mobilization Work, Territorial Defense, and Civil Protection of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Support and Operational Response of the National Police Headquarters in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Lieutenant of Police Kateryna HUNKO, Head of the Department for Enhancing Professional Competencies of Social Service Providers at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Social Services Olesia BILKO, Head of the “Educational Security Service” Department of the Kamianske District Police Department of the National Police Headquarters in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Yurii SOROKA, and trainees specializing in “Educational Security Service.”
The training was conducted by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure Mykola REPAN.
Kateryna HUNKO provided a detailed overview of the types of violence, methods of combating them, and ways to identify them. She also explained where victims or witnesses of violence can seek help.
Yurii SOROKA shared the experience of educational security officers in schools in Kamianske, emphasizing the creation of a safe educational environment during martial law.
Olesia BILKO discussed the main areas of work of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Social Services. She highlighted issues of assistance to families in difficult life circumstances, support for victims of domestic violence, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Special attention was given to the specifics of working with children in challenging conditions and the activities of an interdisciplinary team of child protection specialists.
The participants shared their experiences in responding to cases of domestic violence and developed practical methods for assisting victims. The training demonstrated significant interest among attendees in the topic of prevention and counteraction to domestic violence.
