To mark St. Nicholas Day, representatives of DSUIA visited their sponsored institutions, engaging with the children and presenting them with sweet treats.

Students from the Institute of Law and Innovative Education, alongside pupils from the Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev, visited the “Zoryany” Multi-Profile Educational and Rehabilitation Center of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. This facility provides education to children with hearing and speech impairments.

The guests entertained the children with a vibrant performance of “The Adventures of St. Nicholas”. Following the show, the kids enjoyed an impromptu disco with the fairy tale characters, spreading warmth and joy in the festive atmosphere.

Vladyslav KORYAK and Volodymyr DEMCHENKO, students of the Institute of Training for Preventive Police Units, along with Kristina DEREVYANKO, a senior lecturer from the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure and a senior lieutenant of the police, visited a specialized orphanage. This event, part of the “Hug Me” initiative, brought festive cheer to the children, who received gifts, while the cadets gained valuable experience in offering support and care.

Cadets from the Faculty of Training for Criminal Police Units and the Institute of Training for Preventive Police Units visited the “Special School No. 12” of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, an institution for children with visual impairments. The cadets described the event as filled with heartfelt smiles, warm embraces, and delightful gifts, adding magic and unforgettable emotions to the celebration.

Under the initiative of the DSUIA Student-Cadet Council, students organized a collection of toys and treats for the “Dovira” orphanage in Zakarpattia Oblast. The children received sweets, stationery, as well as recreational and educational games.

The cadets believe that such initiatives foster social responsibility, inspire participation in charitable activities, and help build connections with children, showing them they are cared for and supported even in challenging times.
