A briefing session was conducted for third- and fourth-year cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) before they commenced their internships in practical units.
In his opening address, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine, and DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Oleksandr YUNIN emphasized the importance of a conscientious approach to the internship. He highlighted its unique features and underscored the need for discipline, personal safety, and strict adherence to the law.
Police Colonel Inna VLASOVA, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region and Head of the Investigative Department, stressed that the success of practical training depends on the cadets’ attitude towards fulfilling their tasks.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Iryna TVERDOSTUP, Head of the 10th Department of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, outlined the specifics of interning within the Strategic Investigations Department, particularly under martial law conditions.
The Dean of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies, Police Lieutenant Colonel Vladyslav LAZARIEV, Head of the Criminal Procedure Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro SANAKOIEV, and university internship supervisors stressed the importance of adhering to the internship program’s requirements. They emphasized timely completion of planned activities, maintaining an internship diary, and properly preparing program-mandated documents.
Special attention was given to issues of personal safety, discipline, legality, and adherence to anti-corruption legislation. This briefing reinforced the significance of maintaining high standards and professionalism throughout the internship period.
