Dear participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster!

Each year, on December 14, we honor the heroes who unhesitatingly confronted one of the most devastating man-made disasters in human history. Among you are brave individuals who risked their lives and health to fulfill their duty to the Motherland, safeguarding the future of generations to come.

Within the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs veterans and among the staff of our university are those who took part in the liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster. Your selflessness, courage, and dedication serve as a shining example for the younger generation, inspiring us all to diligent work and faithful service.

On behalf of myself and the entire team at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your heroic deeds. We bow our heads in respect for your resilience and sacrifice, which saved millions of lives.
