Opportunities in Criminal Analysis: Workshop for DSUIA Graduating Cadets

A workshop was conducted by Police Colonel Rushan VOLKOV, Head of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Luhansk Region.

During the session, cadets learned about the capabilities of criminal analysis units in locating missing persons during exceptional circumstances. The practical officer also discussed the application of specialized software tools to identify individuals collaborating with occupation authorities and assisting their activities.

Colonel VOLKOV elaborated on the role of analysts in examining the activities and connections of businesses tied to Russia and Belarus. He also highlighted the use of integrated video surveillance systems with facial and license plate recognition features in solving crimes.

A special emphasis was placed on modern technologies. Rushan VOLKOV shared that artificial intelligence is increasingly utilized, offering enhanced capabilities for data analysis and information retrieval.

The workshop provided cadets with insights into innovative approaches to criminal analysis, preparing them for real-world professional challenges.
