The Department of Theory of State and Law at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held its regular scientific club meeting.
The presentation titled “Transitional Justice: Philosophy, Theory, Practice” was delivered by students Diana DARCHYCH and Yelyzaveta CHERNETSKA. They emphasized that transitional justice is a crucial tool for restoring peace, justice, and democracy in societies that have experienced armed conflicts or totalitarian regimes.
Senior Lecturer Valentyna CHERNOBUK presented her report on “International Legal Standards for Protecting Children’s Rights During Armed Conflicts,” highlighting the rights requiring special protection: the rights to life, health, education, and family.
Following the presentations, the department head, Olha KULINICH, together with faculty members Olha CHEPIK-TREGUBENKO and Oleksandr TALDYKIN, discussed the main points of the reports, providing thorough analysis and fostering an engaging discussion.
The event served as a platform for discussing key issues in lawmaking and law enforcement, stimulating academic interest and developing practical skills among the students.
