“Current Issues of Police Activities Under Martial Law”: Scientific Circle Meeting at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs

The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure within the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Units of the National Police of Ukraine at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The meeting of the scientific circle “Sheriff” was held online. Professor Mykola VESELOV, Doctor of Law and Professor at the Department of State and Legal Disciplines at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, was invited as a speaker. During his presentation, he highlighted pressing issues and challenges faced by the National Police during martial law. He emphasized topics requiring further research, encouraging young scholars to explore these areas.

Additionally, Mykola VESELOV underscored the importance of utilizing statistical data and current legal documents in research and reminded participants about adhering to the principles of academic integrity.

In the second part of the meeting, circle members presented their reports and actively discussed the raised issues.

To conclude, the scientific advisor of the circle, Senior Lecturer, Ph.D. in Law, and Senior Police Lieutenant Karina PISOTSKA summarized the group’s activities for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. She reviewed interim results and discussed plans for the second semester.
