Table Tennis as a Path to Recovery: Training for Veterans Continues

NEWS

Regular table tennis sessions are held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, providing military veterans with nearly a year of support in adapting to civilian life. Recently, these sports activities have also welcomed the participation of veterans’ families.

Engaging in sports not only strengthens physical health but also promotes psychological rehabilitation, helping veterans overcome the aftermath of combat and discover new interests. Moreover, joint training sessions bring families closer together and foster an atmosphere of support and understanding.

It’s worth noting that the veterans are trained by an experienced athlete, Ukrainian table tennis champion Vasyl Koval, under whose guidance they improve their athletic skills.

These shared sports activities serve as a valuable pastime for veterans and their families, proving that even in challenging times, sports can unite people and give them new strength.
