Expanded Table Tennis Training for Military Veterans at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs hosted a training session for military veterans, marking another step in the university’s commitment to expanding its sports initiatives. The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training.

Joining the veterans who have been practicing table tennis for nearly a year were representatives of the Veterans Council of the Solonyansky Territorial Community in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The event became a significant milestone for the participants, as sports activities contribute not only to physical rehabilitation but also to psychological recovery. According to the new attendees, table tennis training positively impacts their overall health, improves motor skills, strengthens muscles, and helps maintain emotional balance. Thanks to the team-based format, veterans feel part of a community, which aids their social adaptation.

The training was conducted by Vasyl KOVAL, a Ukrainian Table Tennis Champion.

Such initiatives within the framework of DSUIA’s sports programs have become an integral part of comprehensive veteran support, promoting their reintegration into active life and maintaining their health.

The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ “Friendly Support” project.
