DSUIA Cadets Visit the “Faces of the Unbroken” Exhibition

NEWS

The event was organized by the Social and Humanitarian Work Department of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The traveling exhibition, initiated by the civic platform “Mariupol Reborn”, features graphic portraits of Mariupol defenders created by the talented artist Viktoriia HRYZDAK from the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The pencil-drawn works immortalize National Guard members from Kryvyi Rih, specifically those from military unit 3011, who heroically defended Mariupol during the Russian siege.

The idea for the exhibition originated from the families of fallen and captured defenders. Relatives first encountered these portraits on social media, where they served as inspiration for this project. According to the families, the creation of these portraits has been a meaningful step in preserving the memory of the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

At the exhibition, DSUIA cadets viewed the faces of heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine and those still awaiting their return from captivity. The exhibition began its journey in Kryvyi Rih and continues to travel across the country, maintaining the connection between families and defenders while reminding visitors of the pain, courage, and bravery of each hero.

In addition to the portraits, the exhibition also features unique icons and a map of Mariupol’s defense, offering a deeper understanding of the scale and significance of these events for Ukraine.

Such events play a crucial role in preserving historical memory, fostering patriotism among young people, and honoring those who fight for our country’s freedom.
