Commemorating the Leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lost in the Brovary Air Crash at DSUIA

The tragic air crash occurred on January 18, 2023, in the Kyiv region. At the moment of the crash, 10 people were aboard, including the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi. In addition to senior leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the crew members, the tragedy claimed the lives of four civilians.

To mark the second anniversary of the catastrophe, commemorative events were held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Cadets and students of the Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs honored the memory of the deceased with a minute of silence, lit candles near their portraits, and laid flowers.

Participants watched the documentary project “Flight 54” — a series of short films dedicated to the victims of the tragedy, including Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, his First Deputy Yevhen Yenin, State Secretary Yurii Lubkovych, Deputy Head of the Patronage Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tetiana Shutiak, Head of the Protection Department of the Internal Security Directorate of the National Police Mykhailo Pavlushko, Leading Inspector of the Ministry’s Communications Department Mykola Anatskyi, and other ministry employees and crew members.

Each film in the series was created in the format of a memorial interview, capturing the profound loss and paying tribute to the memory of the victims.
