A two-day Dnipropetrovsk Regional Sambo Championship concluded in Kryvyi Rih. Athletes from Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs secured 5 medals: four golds and one silver.
In the 88 kg weight category, cadet Oleksandr YAKOVLEV (study group DR 245) took first place, while cadet Tymofii ANDRIANOV (study group KP 334) secured second place. Other winners in their categories included cadets Bohdan KHOMENKO (KP-262-24-1, up to 79 kg), Danil TARUTA (DR 343, up to 71 kg), and Viacheslav CHORNYI (KP-262-24-1, up to 58 kg).
Next on the agenda for the athletes is the Ukrainian Championship, which will be held in Lviv next week.
