A career guidance meeting was held with representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Students of the Dnipro Police and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum named after Oleksandr Hostishchev were introduced to the Magirus Wolf R1 robot, which is used by rescuers. This robot allows State Emergency Service employees to avoid dangers such as structural collapse or intense heat by operating from a safe distance. The robot is controlled using a special remote, transmitting real-time images via mounted cameras.
The combination of an electric motor and a tracked system enables the robot to move silently over challenging surfaces. The Magirus Wolf R1 is employed for firefighting, reconnaissance, and ensuring safety, providing maximum protection for personnel.
Lyceum students had the opportunity to control the robot, perform simple maneuvers, and learn about its capabilities.
The career guidance meeting with the students was conducted as part of the weekend activities plan.
