The Rector of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Oleksandr MORHUNOV, held a meeting with Mark WINFIELD, Head of the National Police Liaison Department at TetraTech.

Oleksandr MORHUNOV highlighted that through specialized training for university staff, the educational process gains new substantive directions, equipping students with valuable knowledge essential for modern Ukrainian police officers.

The meeting focused on organizing training sessions on the identification of explosive devices, developed using TetraTech’s methodological recommendations. These sessions will be conducted by the faculty of the Tactical and Specialized Training Department, who have already undergone the relevant training and received certification. Additionally, the possibility of granting the university permission to use the TetraTech logo on certificates issued upon completing this training was discussed.

Particular attention was given to organizing mine safety training for DSUIA faculty and cadets. The training program will include elements of medical aid and practical exercises conducted in conditions closely resembling real-life scenarios.

Up to 100 cadets are expected to participate in this training under the supervision of TetraTech instructors and DSUIA trainers who will complete the specialized course. This approach aims to ensure a high level of preparedness among future police officers.

During his visit, Mark WINFIELD familiarized himself with the university’s educational process. He attended a session on the identification of explosive devices, conducted by the Tactical and Specialized Training Department faculty for cadets.

This collaboration with TetraTech significantly contributes to enhancing the professional training of cadets and bolsters the DSUIA’s position as a modern and competitive institution of higher education.
